People who know about Seattle they know how much these guys love American Football. Being the last year's Champion Seattle home team "She Hawks" has half of the city as crazy fans. I am not much into this game but some my of friends called me to join them as they are going to watch the telecast of the match in a bar which is around half mile walk from my home. Keeping the crap shorter we end up in this bar. There were 5-6 folks serving there and managing out the things and this one guy who looked like a owner. It was around 20 minutes left of the match and as we Indians are good in the planing ahead we felt that at the end of the match it will be much crowd to pay the bills let's do it early. I was the one who was less worried about the match result and I had to go to the counter to pay. After Hii Hello this person (owner) asked me "Does any one still use Cobol in Amazon ? ". I said I don't think so even I heard about it but never worked in Cobol. I guess it programmers used it in 1990 or may be even before that. This guy than told me that he had worked in Cobol as programmer from 1987 to 1992. We just had couple of lines conversation after that.
Me : that's cool .... but who you changed your mind and left that field and started here ?
Owner : I don't know ...It something I wanted to do.
Me : So when you look back now, Do you think you did right ?
Owner : Ahhh....... I feel so .....
I have little money but I have lived more life here.
"She Hawks" won the match ... !! People went crazy ... !! Shouting like ...we shout in India after defeating Pakistan in world cup match. May be I will forget the match , the day , the place but those words 'Little bit money and lived more life" is something I will try to not to forget for long !!
